35.000 Motorcycle fans celebrated 15 years of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
The BMW Motorrad Days were 2016 the hottest attraction for the rider scene from all over the world. 35.000 motorcycle enthusiasts arrived in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and celebrated the BMW Rider lifestyle with lots of fun and action. Stunt rider Mattie Griffin made the audience sweat with his rousing show. All GS Trophy fans had the chance to relive the spirit of Enduro at the GS Try-Out Trophy. In the boxer sprint the racing legends Karl Maier and Helmut Dähne and also Hardy Krüger Jr. and Ronald Zehrfeld put on a show race. Due to the weather the sprint had to be cut short.
Besides, this year many well-known persons could be seen around the foot of the Zugspitze: Amongst others, actor Hannes Jaenicke, wheelie on ice world record holder Robert Gull as well as cartoonist Riccardo Burchielli paid a visit to the festival. In addition a lot of former participants and marshals of the Int. GS Trophy as well as the winner team and the first international female team were on-site. Even after 15 years of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the BMW Motorrad Days with its legendary celebrations in the party tent and in the US lodge and with great live bands in front of the motodrom and around the campfire have become an outstanding success.
