BMW Motorrad Dealer Build-Off

 

Integrating you own personal touch to your motorbike have always been a part of being a biker. From putting a sticker on your touring pannier or mounting a new handlebar on your cruiser, this is one part of our Heritage. The BMW Motorrad Dealer build-off was kicked off during the Autumn  of 2017, and all our authorised BMW Motorrad dealers was given the challenge to customise a bike on just this sort of heritage: “The Personal Touch”. All of the dealer build-offs are based on our BMW R nineT, and below you can see some of the bikes. You will have the possibility to see all of these bikes live at the upcoming test-ride event "Vårmønstringen" at Lillestrøm on the 5th and 6th of May 2018.

Tromsø Motor:

Dealer: Tromsø Motor

Name of the bike: Black&Gold

Builders: Jørgen

Story behind: The goal was to build a «clean» but great looking bike. Our plan was that it should be easy to get a hold of parts, and show customers/owners of a R9T that it should not be hard to make a personal touch on their bike either. Parts are bought from BMW Motorrad, Werks USA, Tail Tidy andpaintjob is done by Bilskadesenteret Tromsø.

Ride Bergen:

Dealer: Ride Bergen

Name of the bike: Panzer

Builders: Arne, Markus, Marek, and Jotz

Story behind: Aimed to build a discreet cafe racer by using exclusive parts from BMW, Rizoma, Øhlins and MIIV. Everything that have been used on this build can be bought through Ride Bergen.

Mc Tuning:

Dealer: MC Tuning

Name of the bike: Concept 91

Builders: Everyone at the dealer have contributed, but the main work is done by Bjørn and Thore.

Story behind: Wanted to build a dirt track custom that differs from the regular R9T. Parts used are bought from BMW Motorrad, Øhlins, Rapid-Bike, and the rest is produced at the workshop and with good partners locally.

Dealer: MC Oslo

Name of the bike: R35R

Builders: Andreas

Story behind: This is a hommage to BMW Motorrad and a celebration to the dealer that have been in business for 35 years. Wanted to keep the build easy and clean, using parts that customers themself can buy and modify their R9T. Parts are bought form BMW Motorrad, Rizoma, Wunderlich, Mass Moto, and KN.

Speed Motorcenter:

Dealer: Speed Motorcenter

Name of the bike: R9T 95 Golden Edition

Builders: Teamwork (all was a part of the planing including customers – while Yngve and Lars did hard work)

Story behind: The idea to bike are based on the Scittish Six days Trail from the 1960’s, but with some modifications during the build. We wanted to enhance the black/gold and aluminium throughout the build, since this promotes the base design of the bike. Parts are bought form BMW Motorrad, Wunderlich, and Remus.

Dealer: Motor-Teknikk

Name of the bike: MTRacer

Builders: Chriss, Jon Kevin and Jon Erik

Story behind: We wanted to build a great looking cafe racer in such a way that we can offer the same sort of modification to our customers later on. We have used parts from BMW, Rizoma, Kellermann, Jekillandhyde, and ARP Racing.

Name of the bike: Lucifer

Builders: Peder (with help of his co-workers) and Rune

Story behind: Wanted to honor the icon and classic R90S form the 1970’s, but with a more modern and sporty look. Parts are bought through BMW Motorrad, Givi, SPS, Non-Stop Trading, Wünderlich, and the paintjob is done by Westum Lakkering. All parts can be bought through MC Huset Nydal.

Story behind: Wanted to build a «clean» bike, since we think less is more – and it brings out the great look of the bike. Parts used are mainly from BMW Motorrad and Rizoma.

Jakhelln MC:

Dealer: Jakhelln MC

Name of the bike: «Beast»

Builders: Everyone at Jakhelln MC have participated, but most of the work was done by Stephan and Christian.

Story behind: Wanted to combine a cool «bobber» with the looks of a scrambler. This was done by removing all the extra that was not necessary, wanting the bike to be clean and though looking. Parts are bought from BMW Motorrad, Rizoma, Bates, Pirelli, and the paintjob have been performed by Karlsen Lakksenter. All parts can be bought through Jakhelln MC.
